Social Media Year in Review – June 2010 Victoria BC

The founders of Social Media Club, Kristie Wells and Chris Heuer, visited Victoria June 4th to meet the social media community face to face. What a tweetup that turned out to be with over 100 people in attendance.

Later in June Paul Holmes, CEO of IdeaZone and Chris Burdge, BWest Interactive, members of the Social Media leadership team, presented “Leveraging Facebook and LinkedIn” at our monthly Social Media Club Victoria meeting.

June 30th was Social Media Day worldwide (as proclaimed by Mashable). Organizer Paul Holmes was able to have the day officially recognized by the City of Victoria. This made Mashable’s front page!  The Fairmont Empress hosted a tweetup/meetup at the Bengal Lounge.
