Theatre Al Dente presents their first annual Summer Dinner Theatre Experience. Preview.
For several summers, members of Sidney’s Peninsula Players wrote and performed original musicals at Muse Winery. Muse has now changed hands and is the Deep Cove Winery and the players have decided to create a new theatre company—Theatre Al Dentre—especially for the purpose of performing summer dinner theatre. Bringing an executive producer–Steve Duck of TIDES Group–onboard, they are expanding their offerings and branching out to new venues, including The Roost (on the Peninsula) and Ambrosia (in downtown Victoria) for dinner theatre and Deep Cove Winery for dessert theatre. Based on past productions, audiences can expect a light-hearted spin on a musical theatre classic. In addition this year, there will be a mystery to solve and an ending based on audience participation.
Theatre al Dente is proud to present their first annual Summer Dinner Theater Experience: The Phantom of the Light Opera, an interactive Murder Mystery Musical. Join the talented local cast as they take you through a farcical romp that adds a murder mystery twist to the classic tale of The Phantom of the Opera. This interactive theater experience allows you, the audience, to choose the killer in a unique act 2 format, with a potentially different outcome every night!
The Phantom of the Light Opera will be performing Dinner Theatre at:
Ambrosia Conference at Event Center on July 21, 22, 27, and 28. Doors open at 5:30pm, dinner at 6pm
The Roost Farm Bakery and Vineyard Bistro on July 18, August 8, and 15 at Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 6pm
The Phantom of the Light Opera will be performing Dessert Theatre at:
The Deep Cove Winery on July 7th and August 4th, doors open at 6:30, show at 7pm, and August 5th, doors open at 1:30, show at 2pm.
Tickets are on sale now via Victoria Ticket and are $35 for dessert theatre and $65 for dinner theatre.
