Sponsor @ChrisTheRoadie for Drop Zone

Chris Loran of 100.3 the Q radio station, aka @ChrisTheRoadie or # 1 son is celebrating his birthday September 15th by participating in the Drop Zone for the Kids to raise funds for Easter Seals – Camp Shawnigan.

I still remember vividly the September he was born, a perfect late summer not unlike this year.  I occupied my time, waiting, by canning jar after jar of dill pickles and apple sauce, as well as baking apple pies.

The generous good-natured child has become a generous, good-natured man, always ready to lend a hand or participate in local fundraisers and events.  And so it is that on his birthday September 15th, he will be rappelling down 13 floors of the Victoria CIBC Building to raise funds to send children with disabilities to summer camp.

This is Chris’ fourth Drop Zone for the Kids.

In 2010 he appeared as Gene Simmons from Kiss. Those high heels were killer, and as his mom, I watched with some trepidation as he struggled to get a foot hold on the side of the building.

Stay tuned for this year’s costume – it will be a super hero but I’ve not been told which one!

In the meantime, help Chris celebrate his birthday in style.  All he wants this year is to raise $1000 and you can help by donating here.
