Standards of Practice for Blogging

We often read about the unwritten rules of blogging.  Perhaps, instead of rules, we can consider  some standards of practice,  best practices or values.

Inspired by my mentors Raul Pacheco Vega (Hummingbird604), Lorraine Murphy (Raincoaster), and Rebecca Bollwitt (Miss 604). Thank you for leading by example.

Thanks to Julien Smith for the following quote and the addition of the word “duty”.

But in either place, global or local, you need to be a good neighbour. On the web it means to link to your sources, to ask permission, or to leave comments. There is a sense of duty in either one of these places.
